One and a half meters: changes in science and the culture of science

Facing a pandemic virus, which was an unfamiliar experience for most people in the world, how has it changed our lives and our view of the world and the future? Lily Nikunazar, who is a freelance journalist and PhD student in cultural studies, has discussed with experts in a series of podcasts about the general effects of Corona on our lives today.

Despite the fears, anxieties and deaths caused by the deadliest pandemics in history, the future of pandemics has been associated with great and revolutionary developments. It is said that Corona has made significant changes in science and science culture and has turned doctors, scientists and laboratory researchers into heroes and legends of our time.

But do we rely too much on the certainty and invincibility of science? In the post-corona period, scientific investments will be more focused on which scientific and academic fields? How has Corona changed the culture of science?

We discussed these questions in a conversation with Shahroz Tanehjo. He is a senior researcher in vaccine formulation development at Nutcracker in San Francisco and a former postdoctoral researcher at the Mayo Clinic and Harvard Medical School.
